History Tattoos and The Art

Every day, the interwebs is filled with an interminable supply of crap and one cool thing. Like a jet-powered bloodhound, this blog seeks out and posts that one thing. On occasion, nothing interesting is added to the internets. In that case, something old is posted.

Report: With Jackson headed to Seattle, Vikings interested in McNabb

All signs point to rookie Christian Ponder being the Vikings' starting quarterback for the 2011 NFL season. As for who might compete with him or back him up, that's still very much uncertain.
Although he can't officially sign until Friday, former Minnesota starter Tarvaris Jackson, an unrestricted free agent, is in the process of agreeing to terms with the Seattle Seahawks, according to multiple reports.
It's interesting that Jackson's scheduled departure comes at the same time as another popular offseason Vikings QB rumor heats up again. ESPN reports the Vikings are one of the teams talking to the Washington Redskins about acquiring the former Eagles star.
It makes sense on two fronts. McNabb is an accomplished veteran passer who can help push Ponder, and if not, a strong backup for a young No. 1. What might throw off such a deal is whether McNabb is willing to settle for No. 2 mentor role.
At this point, the Redskins can't expect too much in a trade for McNabb, and if the interest wanes over the next few days, it may set up his outright release Thursday.
